This fucking mess is barely a plot where the main character's motivations keep changing, you don't make any actual connections to any characters, plot beats just get skipped entirely, and no one get developed. It's like they took yakuza, thought the cutscenes and the exposition was much too long and reduced everything to 2 minutes top. It's utterly incomprehensible most of the time.
>Gamepray
It's open world shit so nothing has depth. The driving is passable but you do way too much of it. There's street races but they're all so easy that it's extremely hard not to have a 2 hour lead.
There's a lot of shooting, even though one of the story beat is "Guns are extremely rare in nong jong". There's a cover mechanic. Environments do not react to bullets 95% of the time. It's entirely serviceable but pretty damn boring.
The melee system is extremely barebone. You have basic light attacks that lead into one heavy depending on the string. Up to 5 lights and 4 different heavies. But other than Light>heavy, which is a sweep that stunlock enemies, none of them do anything special.
And you have a grapple to smack people with or get environmental insta kills. There's like 8 of these environmental kills total.
You get some meter that generate when you hit people that will increase damage for a time and heal you when it's full.
And you have a very VERY generous counter for when enemies flash red.
You are introduced to 3 type of melee enemies and that's your entire roster you're gonna fight for the entire game. Enjoy!

-Fat grapple dude that can't be grappled
-Fodder with weapons: This somehow allow them to block everything and avoid grapples.
It's extremely easy and extremely boring and there's no spin on it for the entire game. It get stale extremely fast.
There's also 3-4 minigames that are extremely boring and so easy that you can't fail them if you're over the age of 5.
There's also karaoke, which is somehow easier than the one in yakuza games and come up exactly twice.
There's also chase sequences, which boils down to "Hold up and time the button press when you et near a ledge". I don't think these can even be failed.
It's also guilty of using obvious ass paint signs to tell you where you need to go for anything. These fucking green tarps are gonna give me an aneurysm.
The upgrades are also mostly just there and don't add anything to the game.

Most radio stations are alright and the city atmosphere in the markets is actually pretty good. But the fact that all of these chinese people are speaking perfect english kinda pulls you out of the experience. I have no idea why they didn't go the yakuzer route and make everyone speak exclusively bug speech.
>World design/engine
The city is great and they went to great length to make it look like nip nong. And the night market does make it feel like I'm right there being scammed alongside the bug eaters. Excluding the english problem.
Thing is, this map actually does not complement gameplay AT ALL. You have no reason to explore 90% of it. It's mostly there so you can find your arbitrary health upgrades/collectibles/whatever the fuck and look pretty. You're gonna wish this was entirely linear by the first 3 hours. It also run like giga ass and doesn't look that great for the shitty frames it's pumping out. And it's extremely buggy and prone to a LOT of pop-in once you start driving fast. Cars and some environmental stuff will just spawn in front of you.
>Conclusion/TLDR
This is just some very average and sometimes below average open world shit with boring gameplay that won't keep you on your toes after the first 20 minutes. The story is entirely fucked and jump all over the place while ignoring most plot beats and having no real structure. Characters have no growth or anything really. They're mostly just there. It also kinda just end without any real fanfare. The big map serve no purpose other than making the game longer for no real reason. Pc version also run like shit.
Square really didn't bring their A game for this one.

Where? That's a wonderful question. As I said; In Germany Carlsen has the license and decided to keep the brain dead pricing and design from the like the early 90s. Sure, the same CEO who got Manga off the ground in Germany (after the Shuesha bullied him into selling a cheaper product than 3 chapter long wannabe Bandés Designés) attempted to get the same thing done for Franco-Belgian comics, but the titles he selected for that pilot project were no certainly no Dragonball and I think Carlsen scrapped that after the guy went to Tokyopop.
The other place I could take a look was Italy. I didn't found any Tin-Tin books there either. Italy has a domestic comics industry. A pretty beefy one that brought forth heaps of iconic characters and defined who Mickey Mouse and McDucks are for most of Europe through Topolino. A shame Carlsen could not establish Dylan Dog in Germany either. I am probably like the only one who actually has a collection of Carlsen's run.
